Who Are We?

Leo Hawkins

I fought the awakening of Consciousness every step of the way. As a young man I just wanted to live a wild life as deep-sea diver and race NASCAR stock cars at 200mph. I guess I just happened to be hanging out in the right place when the lightning hit. Or maybe God has a sense of humour…

On my journey to Now, several musicians and singers touched me with their songs, books fell open at just the right page, and the woods, mountains, streams and oceans of nature herself revealed their mystical secrets.

Numerous friends and acquaintances said just the right words at just the right time to awaken me to another point of understanding. Some human teachers I met only briefly and they may not be aware of the effect they had on me. To all of you who have helped open my Heart, I offer a big “Thank you”. I could not do the work I do today without your love and wisdom.

 

Work

I've worked as a coach and group facilitator since 1996. Prior to this I gained a rich diversity of experience, from manual labourer to hypnotherapist and counsellor, to project manager. This built my confidence to engage with people from all walks of life and at all levels of business and social status.

Over the years I've picked up enough professional certificates to paper the walls. But my qualifications are a long way from being the whole story. My experience of breaking free of my own demons - and the gifts of abundance that has blessed my life - are my most important "qualifications" to lead you in your journey of personal transformation.

My first book, How to Succeed in Network Marketing, was published by Judy Piatkus in 1991. It became a best-seller with over 50,000 copies sold world-wide in hardback and softback, including translations into Portuguese, Hungarian and Serbian. We also published two in-house editions for network marketing businesses.

As a journalist I’ve had work published in the Financial Times’ magazine Resident Abroad, The Bristol Evening Post, Eckankar Journal, The Clifton Millennium, South-West Connection, Destiny, Clevedon Mercury, Industrial and Commercial Training Magazine, Eck Matters, Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, and ACCPOW.

My professional memberships include The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Society of Authors.

Play

I enjoy the good company of my friends and family. I love spending time in nature, watching films, enjoying concerts and theatre, reading, dancing, and travelling the world. When I can find the time I intend to learn to draw cartoons and play blues harmonica.

In 2008 I fulfilled a long-held ambition by crewing a 95 year-old traditional wooden sailing ship and gaining my RYA Competent Crew qualification. In 2009 my intention is to drive a Nascar stock car at Daytona International Speedway!

My wish for you is that you find the courage to step outside the comfort of the known into the joy, power, and abundance that comes to those brave enough to explore their unknown inner universe.

 

Georgia Whitehouse

I grew up wanting to be an actress before realising I wanted to touch people’s hearts in more direct and profound ways.

My degree in drama provided me with many skills, and predominantly brought to my attention my ability to write. Knowing that my one true love was personal growth, I threw myself in to learning more through numerous books, talks and workshops.
 
My desire for financial freedom and a growing interest in entrepreneurial ventures brought my attention to internet marketing and the stock market.

Although these were seemingly alien subjects from my background in all things creative, I trusted my intuition and threw myself into learning everything I could.

Synchronicity soon brought clarity to such choices when I met Leo. My interest in online publishing and personal growth has connected us in business. As a graduate of Traders University I am also walking my talk when it comes to trading the stock market!
 
My skills are broad and range from sales and customer service to reflexology, and I have experience in schools as a learning support assistant. My passion is learning and I am always seeking for ways to transmute my own learning into writing, speaking, healing and teaching. I believe that each moment of life holds within it the opportunity for growth and expansion.

 

Jackie Cannon

Having trained as a Spanish teacher, I've spent most of the last 20 years working in the University sector, gaining experience in both the UK and Spain. 

My love of Spain and Spanish was inspired by some very committed teachers in the early days of Spain's democracy. It has developed into a fascination with the political and cultural transition that has been experienced in the country since then.

Over the years I have had the privilege of working with many sectors of the academic and business communities. I was responsible for, in addition to standard teaching duties, identifying opportunities for student placements in Spanish companies, and student and staff exchanges.
 
Nearly ten years ago, I organised my first academic conference because there were no events that were appropriate for sharing my research into the representation of identity through advertising.

So I got together with a colleague and set one up! I gathered together a diverse range of academic experts, secured funding from public institutions, and marketed the event. I even put to use many of the organisational skills I had developed working as a holiday rep in Spain!

I developed many new skills that culminated in the publication of the book Advertising and Identity in Europe: The I of the Beholder (Intellect, 2000).  It was such a satisfying experience that I have been involved in conference organisation, and event and project management ever since.
 
My other passion is cruising the inland waterways and generally messing about in boats. It gives me a sense of freedom and the space to unleash my ideas through writing. I enjoy the time (if you want to go anywhere in a hurry, you don't go by narrowboat!) to interact with people and things around me, while providing an opportunity to put my logistical skills to another good use.

I am inspired by the words of the Jackson Browne song, "For a dancer":

Just do the steps that you've been shown
By everyone you've ever known
Until the dance becomes your very own...
